Poker Patience
Place the cards one at a time in a grid. Every row and column becomes a poker hand.
Today's puzzles
The cards come one at a time from a shuffled deck, and you see only the next one. Tap an empty space in the grid to place it, or drag the card there. A placed card never moves again.
When the grid is full, every row and every column scores as a poker hand. Classic is 5 by 5 with five cards in each line. Quick is 4 by 4 with four cards in each line.
While a line fills, a dashed outline shows what its cards give right now. Until the line is full, only pairs, two pairs, three of a kind, and four of a kind count. A straight or a flush counts once the last space is filled, and then the cards that make the hand light up.
Classic gives 3 for a pair, 7 for two pairs, 13 for three of a kind, 21 for a straight, 27 for a flush, 35 for a full house, 55 for four of a kind, and 90 for a straight flush. Quick has no full house and gives 3, 8, 16, 20, 24, 55, and 80. In Quick, a straight is four cards in a row and a flush is four cards of one suit.
An ace counts low and high in a straight, but a straight never wraps around the corner. Two players on the same puzzle get the cards in the same order. Only your choices make the difference.
